This alumni organization is for more than just former FFA members. The Albert Lea FFA Alumni Association also welcomes businesses and community members to share in their promotion of agricultural leadership in Freeborn County.

&uot;FFA is changing right along with agriculture,&uot; said Alumni Association President Greg Gosen. &uot;Its about anything to do with rural America, not just farming.&uot;

Members of the association will work closely with Ag instructors, proficiency programs and judging teams, help in career development and placement for FFA members, support scholarship and award programs, and assist in the promotion of FFA and recruitment of new FFA members.

With more than 60 members currently and only a few weeks left in their membership drive, the association’s goal is to become the largest in the state.

The Alumni Association will be sharing more information about their goals and plans for promoting FFA in the future at a booth on the north side of the Albert Lea FFA food stand during the Freeborn County Fair.
