Prelude to a crash

Mike Gaines leans on the front end of the car he’ll drive in

tonight’s demolition derby at the Freeborn County Fair. The car,

a ’76 Chevrolet Impala, was out of commission in an Oklahoma yard

before Gaines bought it and fixed it up for the derby.
