Ardis L. Lund, 72, Albert Lea

Funeral services for Ardis L. Lund, age 72, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9,

at the First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. John Hagen will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. today at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the services at the church.

Ardis died Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2002, at her home in Albert Lea.

Ardis Lorraine Anderson Anderson Lund was born Feb. 19, 1930, to George and Palma (Holstad) Anderson in Kiester on the Olaf Anderson farm, now the “Farming of Yesteryear” museum.” She had lived in Albert Lea since 1934. Ardis attended Abbott Elementary School, Albert Lea Central Junior High School, and graduated from Albert Lea Central Senior High School in 1948. She married Norman Anderson in May 1949. Ardis worked for the Albert Lea School District for many years. On July 16, 1988, she was united in marriage to Clifford M. Lund. Ardis was a charter member of Grace Lutheran Church and had attended Philadelphia Christian Church and First Lutheran Church. She enjoyed traveling, coffee time with family, grandchildren and friends, reading, music, and Bible study.

Survivors include son, Dr. Paul and wife Karen Anderson and children, Hans, Karl, Kjerstin and Laura; daughter, Jane and husband Joel Winspear and children, Andrew, Anna-Lisa and Jorgen Hackett; and daughter, Nancy Fragale and children, Rachel and Nicholas; brother, Duane and wife Darlene Anderson; Ardis’ cousins who she lived with in her early years: Virgil and Helen Holstad, Mavis Bergo, Eva and Milt Haroldson, Dean and Senora Holstad, and Jerry and Dorothy Holstad; step children and step grandchildren; and former husband, Norman Anderson.

Ardis was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Lund; mother, Palma Anderson; and father, George Anderson.
