Donovan Carl Nore, 64, Wells

Funeral services for Donovan Carl Nore, age 64, of Wells, will be 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 19, at the Rice Lake United Methodist Church in Foster Township, Faribault County. The Rev. Lynn Borgeson will officiate. Visitation will be at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, and one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Interment will be in the Rice Lake Cemetery, Foster Township, Faribault County.

He died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2002, at the Albert Lea Medical Center.

He was born Dec. 31, 1937, the son of Carl and Ruby (Yonkey) Nore in Albert Lea. He married Bonnie Pfahning on Oct. 11, 1958, at the First Lutheran Church in Wells.

Donnie graduated from Kiester High School, class of 1956. He was a member of Rice Lake United Methodist Church where he was baptized and confirmed. Donnie farmed until 1991 when he retired due to health reasons. He was past treasurer of the church, and the secretary and treasurer of Foster and Walters United Fund. Donnie loved to fish and he enjoyed bird watching. He liked working with wood. He enjoyed talking of A.A. with his friends.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Nore of Wells; his father, Carl Nore of Wells; one sister, Karlene and her husband Bill Gormley of Wells; mother-in-law, Mildred Pfahning of Wells; brother-in-law, Norman and his wife Arlette Pfahning of Bedford, Texas; six nephews and three nieces; and many grand-nieces and -nephews.

He was preceded In death by his mother, Ruby; father-in-law, Roy Pfahning; and his grandparents.
