Today the City of Albert Lea Parks and Recreation Department will be chemically treating Fountain Lake with copper sulfate for the control of planktonic algae. The public should not use the lake for swimming for a period of 24 hours. Permitted activities may resume at noon Thursday, Aug. 29.
