Milan Hart of Hart Bros. Weaponry once again has shown his extra special support for the Grass Lake Land Acquisition Project sponsored by a joint effort of the Southern Gateway Chapter of the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association and the South Central Pheasants Forever Chapter.

This is an on going project to acquire land for public use managed by the Minnesota DNR as a Wildlife Management Area. This acquired land is open to public use for all lovers of nature. The project has jointly acquired an excess of 1000 acres. When the DNR puts the proper management signs on the boundaries it will be open for public use with no motorized vehicles except DNR or emergency vehicles.

This year Milan Hart of Hart Bros. Weaponry of Albert Lea is making available to the Grass Lake Raffle an Ithaca

Deer slayer 20 ga. shot gun with fully-rifled barrel with scope and hard case. The stock will be laser engraved with the MDHA Logo and Grass Lake Year No. 5 indicating this is the fifth firearm Hart Bros. has donated for the fifth year of fund raising.

This year the winner of the drawing will have a choice of either the firearm or a Nikon Field Scope III, a complete optics package for bird watchers, naturalists or hunters. This system is an electronic Imaging setup that can be hooked up to a viewing screen and/or a video camera. This package includes: Nikon spotting scope, imaging system and viewing screen, tripod, and a hard case to hold all the accessories. Not only can you view distant objects up close, but record the images on film.

The drawing will be held at the Southern Gateway Chapter meeting Sept. 17 in the Eagles Club upstairs meeting room. Meeting time is 7 p.m.
