Nola Joan Bennett, 59, Albert Lea

Funeral services for Nola J. Bennett, age 59, of Albert Lea will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, at the Church of St. Theodore. The Rev. Robert Schneider will officiate. Interment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the services at the church.

Nola died Monday, Aug. 26, 2002, at St. John’s Lutheran Home.

Nola Joan Bennett was born Sept. 8, 1942, to Lionel and Lillian (Engman) Raines in St. Paul. She attended school and graduated from high school in St. Paul. Nola was united in marriage to Kenneth Dreyling. He was killed in November 1965. On Dec. 31, 1979, Nola was married to William Bennett in St. Paul. The couple moved to Albert Lea in 1984. Nola had been employed at Trail’s, Super Fair, and Wal-Mart. She enjoyed playing bingo, karaoke, and watching her grandsons wrestling. She was a member of the VFW, Cooties, and Church of St. Theodore.

Survivors include her sons: Ken Dreyling and Jodi Johnson of Albert Lea, and Dave Dreyling of St. Paul; grandchildren: Kenny Jr., Kevin, Cheryl, Dave Jr. and Jessica; great-grandchildren: Dominic and Madyson; sisters: Jean Radke and husband Ron, Judy Kinney and husband Harold, Anita Nybeck and husband Gordy, and Betty Dreyling and husband Richard; her mother, Lillian Raines; and step children: Roger, Shirley, Dennise, and Tim.

Nola was preceded in death by her father; her husbands: Kenneth and William; her sister, Seanne; her brother, Billy; daughter, Cheryl; and her stepson, David.
