Sioux Falls golfer wins Northwood Invitational

NORTHWOOD, Iowa &045; An out-of-state golfer took the championship in the Northwood Country Club Invitational, but the state is not Minnesota.

Brent Miller of Sioux Falls, S.D., won top honors with a 54-hole total of 101 strokes, three better than runner-up Greg Denison of Austin. Miller took a commanding lead with a 64 on the opening 18 holes, finishing with a 37 on the final nine. John Midtgaard of Northwood made a strong finish with a 32 to place third at 105.

Only the championship flight played 54 holes. The others were 36.
