There was improvement throughout the match for the Albert Lea High School volleyball team.

But again the Tigers started too slow.

&uot;We came out real flat in game one,&uot; said Tigers coach Gina Eppen. &uot;There was improvement in game two, and more in game three, but again we’re still looking for that team chemistry that’s going to put us over the hump and get us a win.&uot;

Danielle Rankin helped the Tigers improve their serve receive in games two and three, according to Eppen, while Krista Jackson provided a spark off the bench.

Leah Boyer had seven assists, Ashley Chrz six assists, Christina Berggren six digs, Whitney Sorenson three kills and two blocks, Amber Edwards two kills and two blocks.

The Tigers served 32-for-35.

The ALHS girls, 2-12, are off until Tuesday when they play at Northfield.
