Funeral services for Carmen L. Hansen, age 96, of Wells, will be 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 23, at the Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells. The Rev. Meg Sander will officiate. Visitation will be at the Bruss-Heitner Funeral Rome in Wells one hour prior to the service on Monday. Interment will be in the Alden Cemetery In Alden.

Carmen died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2002, at the Parkview Care Center in Wells.

She was born Oct. 30,1905, the daughter of Hans and Emma (Jensen) Hansen.

Carmen attended country school In the rural Alden area. She worked as an interior decorator for a short time. She liked to play cards, and especially enjoyed visiting with family and friends.

She is survived by one nephew, Ross and his wife Joyce Hansen of Wells; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Larson of Wells; niece-in-law, Myrna Hansen of Alden; and several great-nieces and -nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Leslie Hansen; and one nephew, Curtis Hansen.
