David Eastvold, 62, Hartland

Funeral services for David Eastvold, age 62, of Hartland, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at Cross of Glory Lutheran Church. The Rev. Dennis Frank will officiate. Interment will be in the Hartland Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the services at the church.
David died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2002, at his home.
David Trygve Duane Eastvold was born Sept. 29, 1939, to Trygve M. and Helene 1. (Furgeson) Eastvold in Albert Lea. He lived his entire life on the family farm. David attended school in New Richland and graduated from the Southern School of Agriculture. On Oct. 5, 1974, he was united in marriage to Arlys Jean Schaible in Sioux Falls, S.D. David was a member of the Cross of Glory Lutheran Church where he was a deacon and a member of the church council. He had been a member of the NRHEG School Board for 16 years. David also belonged to an investment club and the Family Motor Coach Association. He was a retired farmer and self-employed welder.
Survivors include his wife, Arlys of Hartland; son, Matthew and wife Amanda; mother, Helene; step children: Lori Frank and husband Rick, Lynne Kofstad and husband David, LaVonne Bjerk and husband Jack, Michael Wallin and wife Beth, Christine Johnson, and David Wallin and wife Kathie; step grandchildren: Ian and wife Mychelle, Sean, Will, Jason, Isaac and wife Martha, Annie and husband Adam, Gabe, Emily, Zechary and fiancee Melissa, Alex and wife Angela, Brittany, Brooke, Lee, Joshua, Heidi, Hillary, Nathan, and Nicole; seven step great-grandchildren; sister, Bonnie Swanson and husband Dick; brothers: Dick Eastvold and wife Janet, and Lonnie Eastvold and wife Betty; mother-in-law, Florence Standfest; and many nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his father, Trygve; grandparents; and brother, Kim Eastvold.
