W.A. ‘Pete’ Bruckhoff, 84, Kiester

W.A. &uot;Pete&uot; Bruckhoff, age 84, of Kiester died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2002 in Little Falls. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Grace United Methodist Church in Kiester. Rev. Lynn Borgeson will officiate.

Visitation will be at the Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells from 4-6 p.m. today and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in rural Kiester.

Bruckhoff was born on Dec. 27, 1917 in Mapleton, Minn. to Robert and Marie (Rabenhorst) Bruckhoff. He married Fern H. Conrad on June 12, 1942 in Marshall, Minn.

Pete worked at the Gambles Store and drove a school bus from 1962-1982. He was a volunteer for the Kiester rescue Squad for 25 years.

He was a former member of the Oddfellows.

He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Kiester, where he served as an usher for many years. He loved gardening and flowers. He especially loved his family.

He is survived by his wife Fern Bruckhoff of Kiester. Children: Mary and husband, Floyd Trent, of Lewisville, Texas; Richard and wife Susan Bruckhoff, of Irving, Texas; Paul and wife Debbie Bruckhoff of, Rowlett, Texas; Bruce and wife Carrie Bruckhoff, of Forest City, Iowa. Five grandchildren: Adam Bruckhoff, of Irving, Texas; Jason and wife Jessica Bruckhoff, of Forest City, Iowa; PFC Matt Bruckhoff, of Rowlett, Texas; Joshua Bruckhoff, of Forest City, Iowa; Jenna Bruckhoff, of Forest City, Iowa. One brother: Robert and wife Gwen Bruckhoff, of Wells. Two sisters: Mildred and husband George Stencel, of Minnesota Lake, Minn. Hildred Hoechst, of Mapleton, Minn. Numerous nieces ad nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Herald.
