Marian E. Frazier, 67, Northwood, Iowa

Marian E. Frazier, age 67, Northwood, Iowa, died on Monday, Oct. 7, 2002, at her home of primary pulmonary hypertension.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 10, at 1 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church, 905 Fairlane Terrace, Albert Lea. The Rev. Dennis Seiler will officiate. Visitation was Wednesday, Oct. 9, from 5-7 p.m. at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home in Northwood, and one hour before the funeral service at the church. Burial will be at Sunset Rest in Northwood.

Marian was born in Hurley, Iowa, on Feb. 2, 1935, the daughter of Levi and Berniece (Bird) Brown. She accepted Jesus as her personal Savior at Bible Camp at the age of 14. She graduated from Mason City High School and obtained her teaching certificate from Mason City Junior College. She was united in marriage to Leonard Frazier on June 18, 1955, in Mason City, Iowa. After a few years in Florida and Georgia, where Leonard was stationed in the Navy, they moved to rural Northwood in 1957. She loved her life on the farm, being outdoors, caring for her flowers, gardening and canning, and taking care of her family. She was very involved in the ministries of the church, including teaching Sunday School, Bible studies, Bible school, singing, artwork, and loved taking pictures of every occasion. She had the gift of encouragement to the many people that her life touched. Her life was lived for the glory of the Lord.

She is survived by her loving husband, Leonard; and her six children: Kathy Watney and her husband, Gary, and children, Amber and Sarah, of Albert Lea,

Brenda Higgins and her husband, Jeff, of Eden Prairie, Minn., Jane Frazier and her daughter, Hannah, of Oakdale, Minn., Carolyn Park and her husband, Danny, and children, Lindsay and Jamie, of Blooming Prairie,

Mark Frazier and his wife, Jane, and children, John, Justin, Jessica and Jared, of Rogers, Minn., and Laura Timmerman and her husband, Troy, and son, Spenser, of Blue Earth. She is also survived by her three sisters: Janet Sellick and her husband, Brent of South San Francisco, Calif., Margaret Hulst and her husband Allister of Waltham, Minn., and Bonnie Peterson and her husband Vernon of Forest City, Iowa; her brother, Robert Brown and his wife Becky of Elkhart, Ind.;

many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Rev. James Brown and his wife, Laveen.

She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be deeply missed.
