Service spotlight: Hospital helper does what’s needed

Published 12:00 am Monday, October 14, 2002

Jinni Olson wants to help medical patients in every way she can.

Olson volunteers at the Albert Lea Medical Center once a week on Mondays, and more if she is needed and she has time available.

Olson has many duties around the hospital and she is willing to do whatever is needed to help patients out. Olson helps doctors with retrieving patients’ X-rays, so the doctor can spend more time with the patient. Olson will also escort patients after they check-in to the different parts of the medical center where they need to go. She replaces the magazines that are available in the waiting rooms around the center so patients have something to read while they wait.
