E-G grad joins St. Olaf Hall of Fame

Steven Vanden Heuvel of North Branch, a 1975 graduate of Ellendale-Geneva High School, was a 2002 inductee into the St. Olaf College Athletic Hall of Fame.
Vanden Heuvel, a 1979 St. Olaf graduate, made his mark at St. Olaf in the football arena. A four-year starter, he was all-conference honorable mention in 1976, all-conference and co-captain in 1978, was named MIAC Defensive Player of the Week and NAIA All-District in 1978, and was a member of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship team in 1978.
Vanden Heuvel is past president of the Scott County Bankers Association and the WI/MI/IA NCR Users Group and currently serves on the Builder’s Association of the Twin Cities Parade of Homes Administrative Committee. He is active in youth T-ball, football, hockey and basketball as well as serving on several committees.
Steven is married to Kari Landvik, a 1981 St. Olaf graduate, and they have three children, Adam, Marc and Jill. Steven is the son of Elmer and Joan Vanden Heuvel of Geneva.
