Mary J. Ladlie, 85, Albert Lea

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our precious mother, grandmother and nana. Mary J. Ladlie, at age 85 died peacefully Nov. 27, 2002, at her daughter and son-in-law’s home.
Mary was born Feb. 26, 1917, in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada, to Thomas and Anne (Hickey) Samuelson.
She married Kenneth R. Ladlie on January 11, 1942, in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada.
In June of 1943, Mary and Kenneth moved to Albert Lea and resided there ever since.
Mary was a member of St. Theodore’s Church, the C.C.W., The American Legion, The VFW Auxiliary, and the Does. Her interests included golf and playing bridge with her friends.
Surviving relatives: daughter, Linda and husband Dennis Lau; granddaughters: Wendy and husband Troy Farmer, and Denise Gleason; grandson, Dennis and wife Kristie Lau; great-grandchildren: Serena, Karissa, R. J., Dennis, Gage, Zakry, Korbin and Skye; great-great-grandson, Issac; brother-in-law, Harry Passingham; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by husband, Kenneth; mother and father; brother, Andrew; and sisters: Joan, Patricia, Thomasine, and Maureen.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, at the Church of St. Theodore, Albert Lea. The Rev. Robert Schneider will officiate. Interment will be in St. Theodore’s Cemetery. There will be no visitation or reviewal.
