Season ends at state

Samantha Cole of swims Friday in the preliminaries of the Class

A state girls’ swimming and diving meet at the University of Minnesota

Aquatic Center. The seventh-grader just missed the consolation

finals in the 50-yard freestyle, finishing 17th with a time of

25.74 seconds. The 16th and final qualifying time was 25.66. Cole

was 24th in the 100 freestyle preliminaries in 56.67. The 16th

qualifier’s time was 55.77.
