Adeline V. Wichmann, 89, Albert Lea

Funeral services for Adeline V. Wichmann of Albert Lea will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1, at the Bear Lake Concordia Lutheran Church. The Rev. William Greaver will officiate. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Dec. 31,
from 3-6 p.m. at the Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Bear Lake Cemetery.
Mrs. Wichmann died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2002, at St. John’s Lutheran Home in Albert Lea. She was 89 years of age.
Adeline was born June 20, 1913, in Freeborn County, the daughter of Elling A. and Helma (Isaacson) Stovern. She attended country school in Freeborn County and Albert Lea High School. Adeline was baptized and confirmed at the Lunder Lutheran Church in Twin Lakes. She was united in marriage to Laurence Wichmann on May 31, 1936 at the Lunder Church Parsonage in Glenville. She made her home in the Conger area most of her life, and moved to the Knutson Place Apartments just more than two years ago.
Adeline was a member of the Bear Lake Concordia Lutheran Church and was active in the WELCA and the Church Circles. She was also very active in the Conger and Alden Senior Citizens.
Adeline is survived by her two daughters: Barbara and her husband C. Edward Olson of Bismarck, N.D., and Kathleen and her husband Delmar Boyken of Alden; grandchildren: Carol (Rick) Opp, Mark (Lindy) Olson, Susan (Terry) Ashley, Paul Boyken and Steven Boyken; great-grandchildren: Misty Proulx, Andrea Ashley, Terry Ashley, Laura Opp, Kelly Opp, and Leandra Olson; and three sisters-in-law: Edythe Stovern of Colorado Springs, Colo., Delores Stovern of Albert Lea, and Violet Roberts of Colorado Springs, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Laurence, on April 25, 1979; four brothers: LeRoy, Everett, Reuben and Russell Stovern; sisters: Cora Bakken and Hazel Bakken; one niece, Suzanne Otto; and one nephew, Dick Stovern.
