Arden Randall, age 79, formerly of Glenville, passed away Dec. 6, 2002, apparently of a heart attack.

He had resided at the Fountain Retirement Hotel of Youngtown, Ariz., for the past five years. Before moving to Arizona, he lived in Glenville most of his life. He was well known there for his friendly smile and loving way.

He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Carole and Dennis Steene of 9402 W. Hidden Valley Cr., Sun City, AZ 85351; two brothers: Elston H. Randall and his wife Shirley of San Juan, Texas, and William G. Randall and his wife Marjorie of Hampton, Va.; seven nieces and nephews, 13 great-nieces and-nephews; and nine great-great-nieces and -nephews, whom he loved dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna Randall of Glenville; a sister, Faye at five years of age; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, Dec. 10, at the First Baptist Church of Youngtown, Ariz., where he was a regular member. He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
