Ethel I. Jordan, 88, Albert Lea

The funeral service for Ethel I. Jordan will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30, at St. Theodore Catholic Church, Albert Lea. The Rev. Robert Schneider will officiate. Burial will be in St. Theodore Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m., at Bonnerup Funeral Service, and one hour before the service at the church.
Ethel died on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2002, at St. John’s Lutheran Home, Albert Lea. She was 88 years old.
Ethel I. Jordan was born on Sept. 12, 1914, in Albert Lea, the daughter of Theodore “Ted” and Mary (Nelson) Lifeson. She was baptized and confirmed at the first Lutheran Church and after her marriage she joined St. Theodore Catholic Church. She attended Albert Lea High School.
On May 30, 1931, she married Lee S. Jordan. Ethel had worked at Corrigan’s Ben Franklin store and at Easties Grocery store. She was also active in the Eagles Auxiliary.
Ethel is survived by her daughter, Mary Stiles of Albert Lea; daughter-in-law, Bernadette Jordan of Salmon Arm, BC, Canada; five grandchildren: Sue (Jim) Nielson of Rochester, Shar Wasmund of Freeborn, Sandi (Jay) Henrikson of Plymouth, Minn., Joe (Nancy) Jordan of Anafagasta, Chile, and Jana (Chris) Elliott of Kamloops, BC, Canada; eight great-grandchildren: Stephani Terry of Austin, Steve Wasmund of Freeborn, Samantha Wasmund of Freeborn, Dillan Henrikson of Plymouth, Andrea Henrikson of Plymouth, Dioney Jordan of Anafagasta, Chile, Arianna Jordan of Anafagasta, Chile, and Lucy Elliott of Kamloops, BC, Canada; and two great-great-grandchildren: Damion and Zack Terry of Austin.
Ethel was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lee; son, Tom; son-in-law, Mike Stiles; great-grandson, Lee Jordan Henrickson; brother, Lymie Lifeson; and sister, Lucille Willadsen.
