The funeral service for Noel F. Pechacek of 502 W. Hammer Road, Albert Lea, will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. The Rev. John Holt will officiate. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea and one hour before the service at the church.

Noel died suddenly Dec. 19, 2002. He was 53 years old.

Noel was born Dec. 18, 1949 in Albert Lea to Andrew and Phyllis (Foster) Pechacek. They lived in Geneva on a farm east of Albert Lea, Waverly, Iowa from 1959 -1962, and Albert Lea. Noel graduated from Albert Lea High School, Austin State Junior College and Mankato State College where he received his bachelor of science degree. He taught school at Tracy, Minnesota where he also belonged to the Tracy Jaycees. Noel began working for the Albert Lea Park Department in 1978. Noel married Peggy Wulff on Dec. 1, 1979. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church where he has taught Sunday School and was a member on the Property Commission. Noel belonged to the Albert Lea Jaycees and the Elks Club. He belonged to the Boy Scouts and was an Eagle Scout. While at Mankato State, he was involved in Youth For Christ. Noel enjoyed woodworking, camping, fishing and being in the outdoors.

Noel is survived by his wife Peggy of Albert Lea; daughter: Heidi; father: Andrew Pechacek of Albert Lea; brothers: Norman Pechacek and his wife Cynthia of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Miles Pechacek of Albert Lea, Minnesota; special aunt: Lucile Pechacek of Albert Lea, sister-in-law: Donetta Smith of

Independence, Mo.; brothers-in-law: Lowell Wulff and his wife Paulette of Brookings, S.D., and Larry Wulff and his wife Elaine of Albert Lea; nieces and nephews: David, Laura, Daniel and Brett Pechacek, Michelle Mortensen, Chad, Kari and Brett Wulff, Matthew, Kristin and David Wulff, many aunts uncles and cousins.

Noel was preceded in death by his Mother: Phyllis J. Pechacek and brother: Vance Pechacek; mother and father-in-law: Warren and Elgy Wulff.
