County busts meth lab in Myrtle

The county attorney’s office charged two suspects arrested at a Myrtle methamphetamine lab Tuesday.

Daniel Nathan Deyle, 27, of 13334 870th Ave. was issued with manufacturing meth and conspiracy to manufacture charges, and Jami Marie Piper, 23, of 503 Main St., Hartland was charged with a conspiracy and aiding to manufacture meth.

According to the criminal complaint, Deyle and Piper were making meth at Deyle’s residence. The investigators, led by the South Central Drug Investigation Unit, found 328 grams of meth and items associated with meth production.

The house had three surveillance cameras watching over the back door, driveway and living room. There was also a device to detect signals from bugs. The investigators seized a rifle, two shotguns and a pistol from a living room closet.

In the basement, the police also discovered marijuana plants, seeds, dried marijuana leaves and paraphernalia.
