LE ROY &045; Never this season has Glenville-Emmons girls’ basketball coach Lisa Ziebell questioned her team’s ability to get open and take good shots.

She has, however, lamented the Wolverines’ struggles with putting the ball in the basket. But not lately.

The Wolverines shot well for the second game in a row and won again Tuesday, defeating Le Roy-Ostrander 79-28 in a Southeast Conference game at Le Roy.

&uot;We get the shots every game,&uot; said Ziebell. &uot;We’re finally hitting our shots.&uot;

The Wolverines took a 24-2 lead after one quarter and never looked back, extending it to 35-8 at halftime and 55-19 after three periods.

Rhonda Watson was the top scorer with 19 points, followed by Alisa Rayman with 16, Sara Greibrok 14, Katie Brackey six, Jenna Brackey six, Sam Stadheim six. Megan Bjorklund had 10 rebounds, five assists and three steals, LeAnn Chessmore six rebounds. Katie Brackey handed out seven assists and Jenna Brackey had a team-high seven steals.

The Wolverines, 4-2 in the conference and 6-6 overall, host Alden-Conger Thursday and travel to Houston Friday.
