Leonard J. Everett, 77, Albert Lea

Leonard J. Everett, age 77, of Albert Lea, died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, at his home.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, at the Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells. The Rev. Eugene Stenzel will officiate. Visitation will be at the Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells on Friday from noon until 2 p.m. Interment will be in St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery, Wells. Military honors will be accorded by the Wells Color Guard.

He was born March 9,1925, in Wells, the son of Leonard T. and Barbara (Segar) Everett. He married Marion Jacobson In 1950; they were later divorced.

Leonard grow up in Wells. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged. He worked for Queen Products (now Lou Rich) In Albert Lea for many years as a punch press operator. He was a life member of the Albert Lea Chapter of DAV (Disabled American Veterans), and a member of the Albert Lea VFW post.

He is survived by two sons: Daniel T. Everett of Kansas City, Mo., and James L. Everett of Dodge Center; three daughters: Beverly Rochelle of Rawlins, Wyo., Mary Vaughn of Lebanon, Mo., and Patty McLoud of Wichita, Kan.; one stepdaughter, Betty Lynn Warren of Wellston, Ariz.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jay Everett; two brothers: Edward and Lawrence Everett; and one sister, Margaret (Mrs. LeRoy) Decker.
