Ronald Charles Wilson, age 67, of Austin, died Saturday afternoon, Jan. 25, 2003, in Austin.
He was born June 12, 1935, to Harry and Adah (Lewis) Wilson in Milwaukee, Wis. A lifelong Austin resident, Ron was a member of the United States Air Force, and served in Korea. He retired from Hormel Foods and enjoyed fishing, golfing, photography and hunting.
Survivors include one daughter, Ronda (Ron) Osborne of Hampton, Va.; three sons: Christopher Wilson, Mark Wilson and Michael Wilson, all of Austin; five sisters: Lorraine Palmer of Savannah, Ga., Shirley Bogdanich of Austin, Helen Christensen of Albert Lea, Donna (Thomas) Whelan of Austin, and Yvonne Cutcliff of Henderson, Nev.; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 29, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church with The Rev. Ronald Barnett officiating. Interment will follow the service in Oakwood Cemetery with military rites by American Legion Post 91 and VFW Post 1216. Visitation will be held at the Worlein Funeral Home, Austin, today, Jan. 28, from 4-7 p.m., and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
