Funeral services for Brian M. Sackson, age 55, 10-year resident of Elk Grove Village, Ill., formerly of Calumet, Mich., will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 Arlington Heights Road, Elk Grove Village. Private interment will be in St. Theodore’s Catholic Cemetery, Albert Lea.

He died at MacNeal Hospital, Berwyn, Ill.

He was born in Albert Lea, the son of the late Leonard Sackson and the late Joan Sackson (nee Samuelson).

He was a self-employed excavator in sewer and water construction, and was a member of the Underground Contractors’ Association.

He married Diane M. Traynor 35 years ago.

His children are all deceased: Brian, Priscilla, Bradley, Andrea and Brenda, who died 25 years ago this month.

Survivors include his wife, Diane; brothers: Leonard Jr. (Janice) Sackson, and Tim (Donna) Sackson; sisters: Sharon Shaw, and Thomasine (late Mark) Bennett; many loving nieces, nephews and friends; and devoted dog, &uot;Punky.&uot;
