Elma B. Lein, 76, Albert Lea

The funeral service for Elma B. Lein will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003, at Bonnerup Funeral Service Chapel, Albert Lea. The Rev. Robert Schneider will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the chapel.

Elma died on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2003, at St. John’s Lutheran Home. She was 76 years old.

Elma was born in Superior, Wyo. on March 14, 1926, the daughter of Adolf and Edvidgi Rizzi. She was a graduate of Superior High School. Following graduation she moved to California to work, and while there she played on a women’s softball team.

In 1950 Elma was united in marriage with Oskar Lein in the Little Brown Church, Nashua, Iowa. They moved to Albert Lea in 1950. Elma enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, word games, jigsaw puzzles and watching the Twins play.

Elma is survived by 10 children: Bruce (Colleen) Lein of Hayward; Pamela Rizzi of Oakdale, Minn., Gary (Diana) Lein of New Brighton, Minn., Janice (Mark) Fure of Keister; Craig Lein of Albert Lea, Cindy Bauman of Milton, Fla., Randy (Jodi Joachim) Lein of Onalaska, Wis.; Scott Lein of Lakeville, Minn.; Ross (Kathie) Lein of Albert Lea, Nancy (Greg) Sundholm of Albert Lea; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandson; one sister, Dolly of Wyoming.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Oskar in 1996; brothers and sisters.
