Hubert M. Klocek, age 65, of Alden, died Wednesday, March 26, 2003, at his home in Alden from complications of ALS.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 29, at 10 a.m. at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells. The Rev. Eugene Stenzel will officiate. Visitation will be today, March 28, from 4-8 p.m. at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells, with a 7 p.m. parish prayer service; and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Interment will be in St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery in Wells. Military honors will be by the Alden American Legion Post.
He was born Nov. 3,1937, in New Richland, the son of Wm. R. and Martha (Dulas) Klocek.
Hubert married Linda Kohl on May 1, 1965, in Wells.
He attended school in Freeborn and graduated from Wells High School. He served In the U.S. Army for two years in Germany. He worked for Hanson Construction and then Streater for 35 years. He was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church, the Alden American Legion Post #404, and the Carpenters’ Local 766. He enjoyed spending time up north at the cabin and year round fishing and carpentry work. He had many friends of many ages and will be sadly missed by family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Linda of Alden; one daughter, Robin Klocek of Mankato; one son, Kent Klocek of Alden; five sisters: Angella Sauer of Tucson, Ariz., Evelyn (husband Don) Strauser of Fairmont, Beatrice Rasmussen of Sun City, Calif., Rosie (husband Gary) Miller of Wells, and Janice (husband LeRoy) Puckett of Foley, Minn.; five brothers: Adrian Klocek of Chamberlain, S.D., Alex (wife Ann) Klocek of Winnebago, Louis (wife Jan) Klocek of Dresser, Wis., Matthew (wife Vi) Klocek of Wells, and Kenneth (friend Marge) Klocek of Antioch, Tenn.; father- and mother-in-law: William and Barbara Kohl of Clarks, Neb.; brother-in-law, William Kohl Jr. of Clarks, Neb.; sister-in-law, Arlyce Kohl of Clarks, Neb.; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephew, cousins and good friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant daughter; sister, Leona Staloch; and
sister-in-law, Ronnie Kohl.
