Janette Louise (Remund) Drache, age 61, of Waseca, died Thursday, March 13, 2003 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

Born in Rice County, Minn. on Dec. 5, 1941, she was the daughter of Wilbert and Marcella (Eichorst) Remund. She graduated from Waseca High School in 1959 and graduated from nursing school in Faribault in 1961. She worked as a nurse at District 1 Hospital in Faribault. She married LaVerne Drache on Aug. 24, 1963 at Faith United Methodist Church in Waseca and they were later divorced. The past 31 years she has worked in the bindery at Brown Printing Company in Waseca. She enjoyed playing cards, dancing, cooking, cribbage, Scrabble, going out to eat and her grandchildren. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Waseca and the Singles Club.

She is survived by two daughters, Cindy Krueger and her husband Doug of Gaylord and Deb Dudley and her husband Steve of Waterville; one son, Larry Drache and his wife Darla of Owatonna and eight grandchildren. She is also survived by her parents, Wilbert and Marcella Remund of Waseca; two sisters, Trudi Remund of Waseca and twin-sister Jayne Mueller and her husband Rudolf of Plymouth; special friend, Ron Bauman of Albert Lea. She was preceded in death by one brother, Gerry Remund and her grandparents.

Visitation will be on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at Kinder-Dennis Home for Funerals in Waseca and continue on Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the church.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Faith United Methodist Church in Waseca with Rev. Paul Stambaugh officiating. Burial will follow at Immanuel United Methodist Cemetery in Blooming Grove Township, Waseca County.

The casket bearers will be Larry Drache, Steve Dudley, Doug Krueger, Ron Bauman, Richard Krueger and Rick Balzar.
