The memorial service for Lorraine Juliet Parry will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, at St. Theodore Catholic Church, Albert Lea. The Rev. Robert Schneider will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Bonnerup Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
Lorraine died on Friday, March 21, 2003, at Albert Lea Medical Center. She was 76 years old.
Lorraine was born in Joice, Iowa on June 28, 1926, the daughter of Victor and Gladys (Cady) Randall. She was a 1944 graduate of Lake Mills High School, Lake Mills, Iowa and attended Mankato Business College for two years.
On May 10, 1947, Lorraine was united in marriage with Joseph Parry in St. Theodore Catholic Church, Albert Lea.
Lorraine had worked for Wilson & Co. and Puff-n-Stuff but her main occupation was that of loving homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. Lorraine had been active in the Council of Catholic Women. She was a member of the VFW, American Legion Auxiliary, DAV auxiliary and ex-POW auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, surfing the Internet, traveling to California and was known for her talent of writing poetry.
Lorraine is survived by her husband, Joseph of Albert Lea; three daughters: Vicky Ondracek and her husband, Randy of Santa Barbara, Calif., Cindy Parry and her husband, Mike Anderson of Albert Lea, Lori Parry and her partner, Jenny Andert of St. Paul; one son, Mike Parry and his wife, Kathy of Waseca, Minn.; two grandchildren: Michelle Pederson and her husband, Chad of Waseca, Minn., Dustin Parry of Waseca, Minn. and his friend Suzanne Waechter; three great-granddaughters: Dallas Marie, Cali Paige and Jayde Marie Pederson all of Waseca, Minn.; three sisters: Lylah Sahr and her husband, Frederick of Ocala, Fla., Kathy Davis of Sonoma, Calif.; one brother, Wayne Randall and his wife, Pat of Wimberley, Texas; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Roy, Gene and Curt Randall.
