Susan Kay Wrolson LaFlamme, 40, Burnsville

Funeral services for Susan K. LaFlamme, age 40, of Burnsville, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 1, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. Wayne Halvorson will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the services at the church.

Susan died suddenly Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003, at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.

Susan Kay LaFlamme was born Oct. 25, 1962, to Arnold Wrolson and Shirley (Jensen) Johnson in Albert Lea. She grew up in Albert Lea and graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1981. On May 19, 1990, Susan was united in marriage to David LaFlamme at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. Her children and her granddaughter were an especially important part of her life.

Survivors include her husband, David of Burnsville; sons: Christopher Stanek and special friend Dana Schroeder of Albert Lea, and Matthew LaFlamme of Burnsville; granddaughter, Taylor Stanek; stepdaughters: Brandy and Krystal LaFlamme of Virginia; parents: Shirley Johnson and husband Duane, and Arnold Wrolson; mother-in-law, Shirley LaFlamme; sister, Lori Tukua and husband Mike of Albert Lea; brothers: Randy Wrolson and wife Kathleen of Albert Lea, and Dave Sullivan and wife Diane of North St. Paul; sisters-in-law: Susan Hopps and husband Mark, and Jayne Bergeron and husband Steve; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friends: Julie, Christine, Heidi, Dana, Jackie, Tammy and Kim.

Susan was preceded in death by her grandparents: Arthur and Delora Jensen, Wrol Wrolson and Louise Harris Johnson; and father-in-law, Larry LaFlamme.

Sue’s personality has touched many people and she will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
