Published 12:00 am Thursday, March 6, 2003

The annual Albert Lea Area Schools Science Fair will be Saturday, March 8, at Northbridge Mall. Some 175 students in grades 3-6 will be on hand to share their love of science with the community.

The children have used the scientific method to test everything from the length of yellow lights at intersections to how fertilizing your lawn may or may not affect the environment. The public is invited to see the results of their work.

Judging is from 9:15 to 11:30 a.m., and the public is welcome to view the projects from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. There will be an awards ceremony at 1 p.m.
