Chester Daniel Pyzick, 72, Wells

Chester Daniel Pyzick, age 72, of Wells died on Friday, April 25, 2003 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 29, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells. The Rev. Eugene Stenzel will officiate. Visitation will be at the Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells on Monday, April 28, 2003 from 4-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. with visitation continuing one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday. Interment will be at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery in Wells.
Chester was born Aug. 16, 1930, the son of John L. and Julia (Lata) Pyzick, in Freeborn County and raised on the farm there.
Chester married Darlene Akemann on Feb. 26, 1952 at St. Casimir’s Catholic Church in Wells. The couple lived in Wells their entire married life. He worked at Queen Products of Albert Lea for 37 years. He was a lifelong member of St. Casimir Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and spending time with the grandkids.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years Darlene Pyzick of Wells; four daughters: Mary and husband Russ Ricke of Easton, Carol and husband Tom Neubauer of Wells, Joan and husband Chuck Evan of Minnesota Lake and Linda and husband Rick Theede of Wells; One son: Mike and his wife Carrie Pyzick of Wells; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two sisters: Sylvia and husband Casimir Dziurn of Albert Lea, Rita and husband Wally Pula of Chicago; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
