Esther E. Wolff, 85, Myrtle

Funeral services for Esther E. Wolff, age 85, of Myrtle, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, at Faith Lutheran Church in London. The Rev. Reuben Unseth will officiate. Interment will be in Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery, Myrtle. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home, and one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday.
Esther died on Sunday, April 27, 2003, at the Albert Lea Medical Center.
Esther Emma Anna Wolff was born on June 1, 1917, in London Township, the daughter of Albert and Josephine (Seeger) Wolff. She was baptized and confirmed at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Myrtle, and attended school in Myrtle. Esther was a lifelong resident of the Myrtle area. As a young woman, Esther worked in various homes, helping out when new babies were born. She was a Sunday School teacher and organist at Bethlehem Lutheran Church for 40 years. Esther was currently a member of Faith Lutheran Church. She played the organ there for four years until her health wouldn’t allow her to anymore. Her life revolved around her church and Esther was active in ladies’ groups and circles.
Survivors include her sister-in-law, Kathleen Wolff of Myrtle; nephew, Milt and his wife Nancy Wolff of Myrtle; great-nieces and -nephews: Amber and her husband Rich Yost of Burnsville, Stefanie Wolff of Stewartville, and Nathan and Emily Wolff, both of Myrtle; great-great-niece, Ashlyn Yost of Burnsville; and several cousins.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Willis; and her nephew, Marvin.
