Funeral services for Francisco Guerrero, age 61, of Albert Lea will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 28, 2003, at Church of St. Theodore. Rev. Kurt Farrell will officiate. Interment will be in St. Theodore’s Cemetery. Visitation is noon-4 p.m. today, Sunday, April 27, 2003, at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services at the church.

Francisco died Thursday, April 24, 2003, at Albert Lea Medical Center.

Francisco Guerrero was born August 24, 1941, to Jose and Dolores (Ramirez) Guerrero Cardosa in Mexico. He grew up in Mexico and served in the military there. Francisco came to the United States as a young man in the late 1950s. On August 24, 1960, he was united in marriage to Guadalupe Flores in Knox City, Texas. The couple moved to Willmar, Minn. in 1991 and then to Albert Lea in 1995. Francisco was a member of the Church of St. Theodore. He enjoyed walking, playing pool and bingo and taking care of his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Guadalupe of Albert Lea; children: Hector and wife Emma Guerrero of Albert Lea, Tony and wife Paula Guerrero of Willmar, Efrain and wife Cynthia Guerrero of Willmar, Jose and wife Shanoh Guerrero of Albert Lea, Guadalupe and husband Elais Torres of Albert Lea, Ermelinda and husband Esiquio Castanon of Brownsville, Texas, Antonino and wife Maria Guerrero of Mankato, Deloris Guerrero of Albert Lea, Marya and husband Jorge Medina of Albert Lea and Rosalba and husband Esteban Torres of Albert Lea; 43 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sister San Juana Cobrarubiia of San Luis Potosi, Mexico; brothers: Gregorio Cardosa of Dallas, Texas, Cesario Cardosa of Dallas, Matias Cardosa of Fellsmare, Fla., Thomas Cardosa of Dallas, and Luis Cardosa of Dallas.

Francisco was preceded in death by his father Jose Guerrero, infant son Lorenzo and toddler son Jose.

Francisco was always there for his family and friends and will be dearly missed.
