LeRoy Eric Nelson age 73 of Deerwood, Minn. died on Wednesday April 16, 2003 at his home. He was born on Feb. 3,1930 in Alden, to Eric and Mary (Larson) Nelson. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean War era. Nelson married Sharon B. Florck on June 19, 1971 in Deerwood. He was a member of the Myrin James American Legion Post 443 of Ironton.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon; one son, Craig Nelson of Crosby, Minn.; one daughter, Teresa Nelson of Glendale Heights, Ill.; three sisters, Harriet Ellegard of Hayward, Minn., Evelyn Sailor of Alden and Marlene Wiese of Jewell, Iowa.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be I p.m. on Monday at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby, Minn. with Rev. Perry Johnson officiating. Burial will be at the Opstead Baptist Cemetery in Lakeside Twp., Minn. Friends may call on Monday one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
