Snowy April
By Dylan Belden, Albert Lea Tribune
A man and a boy ride bicycles down Front Street in Albert Lea
Monday morning as heavy snow falls. Snow piled up overnight and
continued into the morning as more than six inches covered the
ground. Albert Lea police said a few car accidents were reported,
but that more common was cars getting stuck in the snow. Most
schools in the area, including Albert Lea, Glenville-Emmons, Alden-Conger
and United South Central, were closed because of the snow. More
snow was forecast for later in the day, but temperatures were
expected to hit more normal levels – into the 60s – by later this
week.
