Mary G. Hoeve, 89, Albert Lea

Memorial services for Mary G. Hoeve, age 89, of Albert Lea, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 24, at the United Methodist Church. The Rev. James Haun will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Friends may greet the family one hour prior to the services at the Church. Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mary died Jan. 11, 2003, at St. John’s Lutheran Home.

Mary Grace Hoeve was born July 20, 1913, to Oscar C. and Emma C. (Totenhagen) Amanson in Gregory, S.D. The family moved to Minnesota when she was a child. Mary attended school in Albert Lea. On June 17, 1929, she was united in marriage to Roy Hoeve in Mason City, Iowa. Mary was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, crocheting and reading. She was a member of United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Darlene and husband Duane Anderson of Elysian, Minn.; son, Delbert and wife Carol Hoeve of Turtle Lake, Wis.; grandchildren: Debra and husband Douglas Fincham, Vicki and husband Angel Romero, Paula and husband Darrell Adkins, Mark Hoeve, Jean and husband Kamais Guezmir, John and wife Laura Hoeve, and Mari and husband Don Bublitz; great-grandchildren: Aaron Adkins, Mark Fincham, Ryan Fincham, Jacqueline Romero, Callen Hoeve, Mitchell Hoeve, Sophia Guezmir, Sarah Guezmir, and Brooklyn Bublitz; and sister, Velma Lunde of Albert Lea.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Roy, in 1999; son, Owen, in 2000; daughter-in-law, Beverly Hoeve; brothers: Ralph Amanson and Charles Amanson; and sisters: Lela Amanson, Eldorado Ingvaldson and Agnes Nelson.
