The first in a series of ladies memorial golf tournaments is being held through Friday, July 18 at Green Lea Golf Course.

This year’s tournament is in memory of Mary Ladlie, a member of Green Lea Ladies Golf for more than 40 years. Whether it was golf or bridge, Mary could always be found at Green Lea. She is missed.

The tournament is a nine-hole, low-net format, and golfers may play either nine.

There is no entry fee. Prizes will be awarded at the annual banquet.

The tournament is open to any Green Lea Ladies Golf member with either a league or USGA handicap.

Quarterback Club to meet Monday

There will be a Quarterback Club meeting on Monday, July 21 at 7 p.m. at the Elks Club. All interested parents and community members are invited. By-laws will be discussed.
