Casper L. Larson, 82, Albert Lea

Funeral services for Casper L. Larson, age 82, of Albert Lea, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, at East Freeborn Lutheran Church. The Rev. David Hernes will officiate. Interment will be in East Freeborn Cemetery. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. today, July 1, at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the services at the church.
Casper died Saturday, June 28, 2003, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Casper L. Larson was born Sept. 17, 1920, to Christ and Emma (Oppegaard) Larson in Nunda Township. He was baptized and confirmed at Lunder Lutheran Church. Casper and Marjorie A. Nesse were married on Sept. 10, 1949, at East Freeborn Lutheran Church. In 1941, he purchased the farm in Hayward Township where he farmed for 62 years, raising registered Polled Hereford cattle. He enjoyed reading farm magazines and listening to old-time music.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; his six children: daughters: Donna and husband Rick Oakland, and Gayle and husband Michael Thompson; sons: Dale and wife Kathy Larson, Roger and wife Twyla Larson, Dean Larson, and Larry and wife Karla Larson; six granddaughters and six grandsons; and three great-grandsons.
Casper was preceded in death by his parents, Christ and Emma Larson; sister, Stella Yauger; and brother, Leland Larson.
