County fair opens Tuesday

The 112th-annual Freeborn County Fair gets started Tuesday with entry day and the demolition derby.
The fair starts at 8 a.m. each day from Tuesday through Sunday.
General admission tickets to the fair are: children ages 10 to adult, $6; season ticket, $28. Children under 10 are admitted free. All of the above tickets give free admission to the grandstand shows (general seating only). There will also be a limited number of reserved seats for the grandstand at $15 apiece.
A rundown of events set for Tuesday at the fair:
-Entry of all other flowers and vegetables, 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
-Judging, home activities building, 8 a.m.
-4-H building (non-livestock judging), 12:15-6 p.m.
-Glad entries until 1:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m. judging
-FFA mechanics judging, 2 p.m.
-Open class poultry judging, 10 a.m., poultry barn
-4-H poultry show, north pavilion, noon
-4-H rabbits show, north pavilion, noon
-FFA rabbits follows 4-H rabbit show
-Lowery Carnival, 4 p.m.-midnight
-The Calvary Connection gospel performance, Entertainment Square, 4:30-6 p.m.
-4-H dog agility show, indoor arena, 5 p.m.
-Cat Raven, vocal variety show, Entertainment Square, 6-7 p.m.
-Floral Hall judging, 7 p.m.
Grandstand: Jaycees’ Demolition Derby, 6:30 p.m.
