Dorothy F. Kendall, 80, of 1531 6th Pl. S.E., Mason City, died Wednesday, July 2, 2003 at the Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.
Funeral services was held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 5, 2003, at the Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., Mason City with Rev. Kris Snyder officiating. Burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home on Saturday.

Dorothy was born July 1, 1923, in Hayward, Minn., to Curtis H. and Viola M. (Larsen) Briggs. At an early age she moved to Albert Lea, where she grew up and attended school.
Dorothy was united in marriage to John S. Kendall and they lived in Minneapolis, where John worked for the post office. When he retired they moved to Cleveland, Minn. When John died in 1990 Dorothy moved to Hanlontown, Iowa and lived there until moving to Mason City about eight years ago.
Dorothy is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Rattner of Las Vegas, Nev.; three grandchildren, Kendall Rattner, Terri, and Tony Kendall; one brother, Curtiss Briggs of Oregon; and two sisters, Sharon Kyte of Welcome, Minn. and Virginia Dralla of Hanlontown, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John in 1990; a son John Jr. in 1995; a brother, Harold Briggs; and a sister, Lila Manthey.
