Sharon K. Wipplinger, 57, Albert Lea

Funeral services for Sharon K. Wipplinger, age 57, of Albert Lea, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, at Grace Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. John Henriksen will officiate. Interment will be in Our Savior’s Cemetery, Kiester. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today, July 8, at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the services at the church.
Sharon died Sunday, July 6, 2003, at the Albert Lea Medical Center.
Sharon Kaye Wipplinger was born Aug. 1, 1945, to Joseph and Geraldine (Reichel) Williams at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Mankato. She graduated from Mankato High School in 1963 and attended Mankato State for a year. On Sept. 18, 1965, Sharon was united in marriage to Arthur Wipplinger at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Mankato. The couple moved to Albert Lea in 1974. Sharon was assistant manager at the Elks Lodge and a member of Grace Lutheran Church. She enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing bingo and going to casinos.
Survivors include her husband, Art of Albert Lea; mother, Geraldine Goodge of Mankato; son, John Wipplinger of Conger; daughter, Kendra and husband Aaron Daby of Mankato; grandchildren: Jade and Jessa Wipplinger, and Jamison and Mackensie Daby; and sister, Lynn and husband John Haugland of Winona.
Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Williams, and stepfather, Kenneth Goodge.
