Two more wins improves record to 7-2-1 for U-17 boys

The Albert Lea U-17 boys’ soccer team improved its league record to 7-1-2 with a pair of wins during the last week.

First, the locals traveled to Winona to face the division leaders and dealt them their first loss of the season, 2-1.

Scoring for Albert Lea was Nate Lombardi and Ben Frayne.

Next was a 5-0 shutout of Lakeville, which featured a hat trick by Jeremy Jacobson and one goal each by Brady Plantage and Lombardi.

Coach Lowell Jacobson praised the hard work by all the players, especially Ethan Berg, who has done an outstanding job in goal, and defenders Joe Squires, Jake Levisen and Dustin Boyer.
