Alberta Wosilait, 98, Albert Lea

Memorial services for Alberta Wosilait, age 98, of Albert Lea, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29,

at the chapel at St. John’s Lutheran Home. The Rev. Jeff Laeger-Hagemeister will officiate. Interment will be at a later date in Alden Cemetery.

Alberta died Monday, Aug. 25, 2003, at St. John’s Lutheran Home.

Alberta Wosilait was born July 11, 1905, to Samuel Alden and Mary Dorothea (Schoen) Beach in Freeborn County. She was a graduate of Alden High School and Mankato Business College and had been employed at Sullivan’s Paint Store for many years. Alberta moved to California in 1945. On Nov. 22, 1958, she was united in marriage to Frank H. Wosilait in San Francisco, Calif. Alberta moved back to Albert Lea in 1990.

Survivors include nephews: Raymond and wife Gerry Seaton of Albert Lea, Alan and wife Kathy Beach of Minnetonka, and Jim and wife Janice Beach of Freeborn; nieces: Lois Johnson of Escondido, Calif., Mary Oliva of Bloomington and Alison Seaton of Albert Lea; and several grand-nieces and -nephews.

Alberta was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, in 1973; her parents; sisters: Myrtle Hansen, Amy Seaton and Mary Beach; brothers: John, Horace and Lee Beach; and nephews: Noel Seaton, Robert Seaton and Ronald Beach.

Memorials are preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church or a charity of donor’s choice.
