According to Gerry Vogt, the tournament chairperson, participants must be members of the MWGA and apply for acceptance into the event. Several MWGA officials will be in town to monitor the competition.

The format includes 18 holes each day, with tee times set for 7:30 a.m. both days. The championship flight is scheduled to tee off at 11:50 Monday and Tuesday.

The public is invited to watch, according to Vogt, who said it’s been busy but interesting getting the event together.

&uot; It’s been fun and a real learning experience to work wi th the MWGA,&uot; said Vogt.

Local golfers expected to play in the tournament include Vonda Rocklin, Jeanne Schermer, Nancy Peterson, Dorothy Field, Helene Summer, Garnice Rasmusson, Barb Butler, Gladys Heys and Jodie Adams.
