Alice had worked as a nurses aid in Ada. She took her state boards to become an L.P.N. and worked at St. John’s Lutheran Hospital in St. Paul from 1942 until 1953.

On April 25, 1953, she married Oluf Erickson of Hartland at Grace Lutheran Church in Ada. Following their marriage they lived in the Hartland area, where they farmed and later moved to New Richland, where they lived their retirement years.

Alice was a member of Cross of Glory Lutheran Church, where she was active in Sarah Circle, the church women and Bible study. She enjoyed crafts and baking (especially cookies). Special joy came from visiting with her family members from northern Minnesota and other family, friends and neighbors.

She is survived by her brother, Trumen Eastvold and his wife Bette of Borup, Minn.; sister-in-law, Ordella Eastvold of Glyndon, Minn.; brother-in-law, Peter Erickson of Albert Lea; two godsons: Kenny Stene of Ada, Minn., and Marshall Hegreberg of Borup, Minn.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Oluf, in 1999; sisters: Marvella Hegreberg, Bernice Hanson and Ruth Stene; brothers: John and Oscar Eastvold; sisters-in-law: Marie Erickson, Anna Erickson, Edna Sorenson, Olga Eastvold and Gladys Erickson; and brothers-in-law: Woodrow Hanson, Ernest Stene, Oscar Erickson, Carl Erickson and Edgar Hegreberg.

Blessed be her memory.
