Junior high football practice starts Monday, Aug. 25 at 3:30 p.m. at Southwest Middle School.

All seventh and eighth-grade students interestd in playing junior high football should stop at the Park and Recreation office and sign up prior to Monday, if possible. All participants are required to have a physical form on file at the high school.

Any seventh and eighth-grade students planning to play junior high football should report to Southwest Middle School at 3:30 p.m. Monday whether you are signed up or not as registration can be handled at this time. Equipment will also be handed out.

ALYSA annual meeting Aug. 27

The Albert Lea Youth Soccer Association will hold its annual general meeting Wednesday, Aug. 27 at 6:30 p.m. in the second floor meeting room at City Hall.

The public is welcome. The agenda includes election of officers for 2004 and a review of the 2003 season.

Quarterback Club to meet Monday

There will be a Quarterback Club (football boosters) meeting on Monday, Aug. 25 at 7 p.m. at the Elks Club. All parents and interested community members are invited.
