Freeborn County Administrator Ron Gabrielsen apologized Wednesday to the county commissioners for an instance in which he lost his temper, shouted at commissioner Dan Belshan and slammed Belshan’s tape recorder on a table, breaking it. He also apologized specifically to Belshan, who accepted.

Gabrielsen also gave Belshan a personal check reimbursing Belshan for the $30 recorder.

Gabrielsen said he felt it was appropriate to apologize at a budget workshop because the instance occurred at a previous budget workshop.
