Charles William Robinson, 94, Blooming Prairie

Charles William Robinson, age 94, of Blooming Prairie, formerly of Albert Lea and Faribault, died at Prairie Manor Care Center Monday, Sept. 22, 2003.

He was born July 3, 1909 in Kankakee, Ill., to Lawrence and Susan (Walton) Robinson. He married Selma Jordahl. After her death he married Libby Carlson. Charles was a former mayor of Faribault and a member of First Lutheran Church.

Survivors include sons: Charles S. (Betty) Robinson of Elk River, and Clayton C. (Eve) Robinson of Baxter; stepchildren: Don Carlson, Doug (Colleen) Carlson, Phyllis Kruckeberg, and Dorothy (Adrian) Kilian; 18 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; brother, Donald (Lura) Robinson of Rochester; and sisters: Ellouise Parrish of Medford and Margery Barden of Minneapolis.

He was preceded in death by Sally Robinson and Libby (Carlson) Robinson.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at First Lutheran Church in Blooming Prairie with the Revs. Heidi Heimgartner and Richard Hegal officiating. Friends may call at Worlein Blooming Prairie Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m., Friday, and at the church one hour before the service on Saturday. Interment is at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Faribault.

Casket bearers are grandsons: Scott, Keith and C. Arthur Robinson; Gary Ditlevson, David Kilian, and Scott, Bruce, Brian and Steve Carlson. Vocalists are Elizabeth Carlson and Frank Vorlicek, accompanied by Betty Ingvaldson on the organ.

The family prefers memorials to First Lutheran Church Building Fund.
